This film tells the story of a shepherd who repairs the ruined ecosystem of a secluded valley by single-handedly cultivating a forest over a thirty year period.
Themes: impact of climate change, species extinction, increased deforestation and desertification.



3) ๐๐š๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ๐š๐š ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐•๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐–๐ข๐ง๐ (1984) - It is a Japanese animated film from 1984 by writer, director and illustrator Hayao Miyazaki. It tells the story of a post-apocalyptic future, a thousand years after the so-called “collapse of industrial civilization”, where, due to pollution and mistreatment of nature by humans, the land is practically all covered by the Sea of ​​Destruction, a toxic forest, which emanates poisonous gases, making the human species practically extinct, and those who live struggle to survive amid the chaos and destruction.

Themes: colonization, slavery and the military dictatorship, indigenous peoples, the right to water.

This documentary outlines how the new environmental law can affect the whole Brazilian ecosystem, specially the water sources.
It is a non-profit documentary, with collective funding and available free online.
Themes: water, air, soil, food production and impact of environmental laws on the life of each citizen.




6) ๐ˆ๐ฅ๐ก๐š ๐๐š๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ (1990) - In just 13 minutes, it shows the path of the tomato from the field to the landfill. But it does so with acidity and quasi-scientific language to show step by step how the relations between human beings is uneven in the capitalist system.
Themes: Consumerism, social relations, impact of garbage.



7) ๐‹๐ž ๐‹๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ฑ (2012) - A 12-year-old boy searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.
Themes: Consumerism, air pollution and deforestation.



8) ๐Œ๐ข๐œ๐ซ๐จ๐œ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฌ: ๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฉ๐ž๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐ž ๐ฅ'๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐›๐ž (1996) - Microcosmos is a documentary film centered mainly on recording detailed interactions between insects, other small invertebrates and their relationship with the environment.
Themes: Relationship between soil and life and ecology.



9) ๐Š๐ข๐ซ๐ข๐ค๐จ๐ฎ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐’๐จ๐ซ๐œ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ (1998) - In a little village somewhere in Africa, a boy named Kirikou is born. But he's not a normal boy, because he knows what he wants very well. Also he already can speak and walk. His mother tells him how an evil sorceress has dried up their spring and devoured all males of the village except of one. Hence little Kirikou decides, he will accompany the last warrior to the sorceress. Due to his intrepidity he may be the last hope of the village.
Themes: Knowledge of different ways of being, living and working, African culture, establish relationships between the environment and people, valuing its importance for the preservation of species and for the quality of human life.
